AST will be attending the Somerset ASA Development Meet at Millfield School this October.

This is a great meet for our developing swimmers and those looking to gain more competition experience. With “Slower Than” qualifying times across all events, the meet is designed to give swimmers who are still developing their race times the opportunity to compete, build confidence and hopefully pick up some new PBs along the way!

🏊 Who should enter?

We would particularly encourage our developing and younger competitive swimmers to consider entering this meet.

All events have “Slower Than” qualifying times, so swimmers must not be faster than the published qualifying time for the event they wish to enter.

If you’re unsure whether this meet is suitable for your swimmer, or which events they should enter, please speak to one of the AST coaches.

Please submit your entries through AST before the deadline so that we can process the club’s entries together.

We’d love to take a big AST team to Millfield for this one. It’s a fantastic venue and a great opportunity to get some early-season racing in! 💙

Short Course Configured, 8-lane pool, anti- turbulence lane ropes with electronic timing.
Computer run pre-seeded programme and fast results service. Good spectator and team seating.
Large score board.
Programme planned to enable and encourage swimmers to swim many different events.
Saturday and Sunday two sessions per day:
Saturday 13:00-20:00
Sunday 09:00-17:00

50m all strokes
100m all strokes
200m all strokes plus Individual Medley
400 free and 400IM
All events are HEAT DECLARED WINNERS
All events have age- grouped awards
All events have upper limit times

Ages on 31 Dec 2026
Swimmers must be 10 or over on or before 31st December 2026
Awards will be age grouped (10 &11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16&over)

Signing in sheets will be provided for the 400m Freestyle and 400IM events.
(Note – ONLY swimmers 11 & over can enter 400IM)
